Improving Program Insights through Data Integration & Interoperability
16 Mar 2021Within a country’s data ecosystem, multiple platforms and tools are utilized to collect, store, and visualize data, ranging from paper-based logbooks, to mobile data collection devices, to web-based platforms. Organizations commonly fare no better, with each project or program using their tool of choice without centralized mandates for enterprise wide solutions. As a result, our organizations and the countries where we work face numerous challenges with data availability, access, and use, preventing us from making the kind of impact in our programs as we would like.
During this session, BAO Systems will share their motivation for developing the BAO Analytics Platform, showcase how the application works, and describe some of the ways they are using the platform to improve programmatic impact. Jhpiego’s MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership Project is utilizing the platform to more seamlessly make the right data available to the right people through tailored Power BI dashboards for project-wide planning, monitoring, and evaluation. With large investments in HIV/AIDS, FHI 360 has taken a similar approach by using Azure data warehousing to store PEPFAR MER data across country projects and generate more insightful dashboards in Power BI.
