During gray skies when disaster strikes, BAO Systems is at the frontline with Visionlink. Bringing their unique technologies together, these two companies now offer a comprehensive solution designed to help organizations manage and respond to disasters, emergencies, and humanitarian crises, particularly when infrastructure has broken down.

Collaborating during a disaster

The partnership involves the integration of Dharma Platform, BAO Systems’ easy-to-use tool for offline and mobile data collection, with CommunityOS, Visionlink’s platform for coordinating core operational activities following a disaster, emergency, or public health crisis.

This joint solution becomes invaluable in scenarios where internet connectivity is compromised, such as in the aftermath of a disaster or in remote areas.

Collect data without Internet

With the Dharma Platform integrated with CommunityOS, staff and volunteers active in disaster relief have a tool to collect data in offline or low-connectivity environments. This capability proves crucial for assessing needs, managing resources, and coordinating response efforts in the immediate aftermath of a crisis.

Once connectivity is restored, the collected information is uploaded to secure cloud environments. This ensures their availability for immediate needs analysis and critical decision-making.

Make every second count with real-time data

With real-time data in the early stages of a crisis, decision-makers can effectively deploy vital response efforts.

In the critical first hours following a crisis, data play a key role in informing the necessary decisions and actions to best serve the affected population," BAO Systems’ CEO Steffen Tengesdal said. “With Dharma Platform's mobile and offline capabilities as part of Visionlink's CommunityOS, organizations gain access to timely and accurate data essential for effective response efforts.”

Visionlink Founder and CEO Dr. W. Douglas Zimmerman said, “This is not a single solution partnership. Working with BAO Systems, we can extend the flexibility of our Visionlink solution through BAO’s offline data systems. Together we are prepared to respond to virtually any need, under any circumstances.”

We’ve got you covered

Scalability is one of the key advantages of this integrated solution. Whether it’s assessing damages, coordinating volunteers, or delivering essential services, the joint platform caters to the needs of organizations operating at varying scales.

This versatility makes it a valuable asset for both small-scale local responders and large-scale humanitarian organizations.

Innovating for communities in crisis

BAO Systems’ and Visionlink’s comprehensive solution marks a milestone in enhancing disaster response capabilities. As communities continue to face various challenges, this collaboration stands as a testament to the importance of innovation in ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected by crises.
